Welcome

We are Rutland Water Ringing Group, a BTO bird ringing group who operate at Rutland Water Nature Reserve which is managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust on behalf of Anglian Water. We operate two Constant Effort Sites (CES), monitor two artificial Sand Martin banks, undertake a Sand Martin RAS, and operate several colour ringing projects including Common Terns and Black-headed Gulls. Our ability to train at the moment is limited, however if you are already a qualified ringer and would like to join us, you would be most welcome, we are in need of extra hands, especially in covering our CES sites.
